  Exclusive Extra: Deleted Scene from KISS OF SNOW

  I hope you enjoy this deleted scene from the Psy-Changeling series that I found while going through my files. Please note that this scene may have continuity errors and will not fit into the published book, as it was deleted early on. I think it’s a fun one though, between two men who have more in common than you’d think.

  Hawke stared at the ground. “She’s a fucking baby.”

  “She’d shoot you if she heard you say that.”

  “I don’t give a damn. No way in hell am I touching her!”

  Nate tapped a finger on his raised knee. “Done that, got the T-shirt, failed right into her arms.”

  Hawke scowled. “You’re supposed to talk me out of this shit.”

  “Hey, I’m telling you the truth—I tried to stay away from Tamsyn and look where it got me. Happily mated with two cubs.” A sappy smile cracked the leopard sentinel’s face. “Give in to your fate and thank the heavens some woman will have your feral ass.”

  Hawke didn’t bother to growl. “How old was Tamsyn when you—”

  “Nineteen. Stubborn and tough and beautiful. Gave me hell for being so hardheaded about our mating.”

  Hawke couldn’t quite imagine the elegant, calm DarkRiver healer doing anything like that. “Sienna’s nineteen and a few months.”

  “See, you’re further ahead than I was.”

  “But I’m older than you were.”

  “Not much older in the scheme of things. We live what—thirteen, fourteen decades give or take—trust me, spending that time with a woman who adores you is…I fucking don’t have the words.” The other man thumped a closed fist against his heart.

  His own heart thundering, Hawke thrust his hands through his hair. “I’m a hard man to be with, Nate.”

  “Don’t rip off my face, but your sweetheart isn’t exactly Ms Lightness.”

  That made Hawke grin. “She got on your ass didn’t she?”

  A grunt. “Yeah, but she had to behave while she was here. I made her run the circuit three times when she got cheeky.”

  “What was her response?”

  “Tamsyn gave her a disappointed look when she opened her mouth to argue and not a peep came out. She turned into an angel.”

  Sienna? An Angel? “Can Tammy teach me how to do that look?”

  “No. You can’t do it. No man can. Only women.”

  “Some help.”

  “You’ll figure it out.”

  Hawke wasn’t so sure. What he did know was that Sienna’s life before she joined SnowDancer had changed her. She was far older than her physical years. But, was she strong enough to tangle with an alpha wolf?
